Most of the time, my eye is the one pressed to the viewfinder, searching for a story in a reflection, a texture on a wall, or a fleeting expression on the street. But every now and then, the frame finds you. This was one of those moments—looking out through an old window, I caught a glimpse of the observer himself. Not a clear portrait, but something more true to the process. This is usually where I am: present, but hidden. A part of the scene, but also separate from it.
